Introduction

What the self-hosted edition is and what it can do.

The self-hosted edition of Statuspage runs as a single Docker container with no external database — it stores everything in SQLite on a persistent volume. It is ideal for running your own status page on your own infrastructure, and it works out of the box with Coolify.

What you get

  • Service monitoring — HTTP, HTTP-keyword and TCP checks on a schedule.
  • Public status page served at your domain root, with 90-day uptime history.
  • Incidents with an update timeline, affected services, and public history.
  • Maintenance windows for all or selected services.
  • Notifications to Telegram and email when a service goes down or recovers.
  • Team members with roles, managed from the UI.

Free-tier limits

A self-hosted instance monitors up to 5 services and 3 team members. These caps are built into the image and cannot be changed with an environment variable. To raise them, connect a license key.

How it runs

One container runs two processes: the web app (dashboard + public page + API) and the monitor worker (runs the checks). Database migrations and the initial admin user are created automatically on first boot.
